Alison Nea is a designer and artist from Dublin, specialising in costume and set. She is a recent graduate of the Dunlaoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology in Dublin, receiving a First Class Honours for her Bachelor of Arts degree in Design for Stage and Screen (Costume). Her catalogue of work spans across both film and theatre having designed and constructed costumes for the opera 'Banished' in conjunction with the Royal Irish Academy of Music performed in Dublin's historical Kilmainham Gaol, and most recently creating the latex hand puppet of the character 'Georgie' played by Aidan Gillan in the music video, 'A Hero's Death' by the Irish band Fontaines DC. She has a particular passion for the creation of live performance and is one of the co-founders of the theatre group Hot Water Bottle Theatre. Their debut performance at the Monkstown Puppet Festival in Dublin in 2019 was a sold-out success and she plans to continue to bring more fun and creative stories to life.
